Public Consultation


Consultation relating to land at Didcot A Power Station is being undertaken by Pegasus Group on behalf of Clowes Developments and Graftongate Developments.

How will we consult people?

There are a number of different ways in which we will try to involve as many people as possible in our consultation and encourage everyone to share their thoughts and views on our proposals for Didcot A.

A public consultation event was held at Cornerstone Arts Centre, Station Road, Didcot, on Saturday 17th January 2015. Thank you for attending. Members of the development team were present to answer any questions, listen to any views and suggestions and learn about local issues and concerns.

The Proposals

The consideration of technical issues is informing the indicative masterplan proposals for the site. The proposals for the site presently include:

  • Around 400 new homes, to include affordable housing to meet local needs;
  • Employment uses, including offices, light industrial and storage and distribution units;
  • A retail warehouse park together with a small convenience food store;
  • A 150 bed hotel and a pub/restaurant;
  • New areas of public open space and landscaping;
  • New vehicular, pedestrian and cycle accesses;
  • Protection of land for a new future access over Milton Road from the Science Bridge and associated link road through the site.

Clowes Developments intends to submit an outline planning application for these development proposals in the near future. When the planning application is submitted to the Councils they will also consult with local people before reaching a decision.
